Originally, Maria opened her own daycare because she wanted to be able to care for her own daughter, and now she has been running her program for almost 20 years! She is committed to continuous improvement, and she takes advantage of opportunities to engage in new training. As an Early Childhood Education professional, she really focuses on the well-being of the children in her program. She also values manners and politeness, and she teaches the children how to practice good manners through everything they do.
Maria is a home daycare provider licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). Her license allows her to care for up to 8 children in a warm home environment in Roxbury.
Maria has been a provider since 2001 and her license was most recently renewed by the EEC in September, 2019. As a licensed provider, Maria receives training in safe sleep, childhood nutrition, medication administration and childhood development. Every year she is required to renew her pediatric CPR certificate and attend at least 10 hours of professional development training.
